Karei (Head, Social Media Mod)
(she/her)
Hello! I was desperately looking for a Mononoke-themed zine but I couldn’t find one so I decided to start one _ This is my first time modding a physical zine, but I’ve been a contributor in many zines including The Great Turnabout (writer), Noragami Finale (cover artist), and Mirai (artist). I can’t wait for the Mononoke movie to come out in summer!!!

Hullo! I'm Ette.
Sometimes I pick up a pen and words just flow out. I like to think I'm a catalyst through which stories write themselves.

Astri (Graphics Mod)
(they/them)
Hi! I’m Astri, a law student who is also chronically obsessed with getting my grubby hands on as many mediums of visual art as possible. I’ve been known to write, draw, and make graphics! Mononoke is one of the first animes I watched, and I’ve been in love with it ever since!

KAL黒 (Finance, Shipping Mod)
Hello! I believe many anime and manga fans can appreciate the world presented in this series, its rich links to Japanese history and culture. In this last year I worked on Ipse Facto (finance/production) and Heaven on Earth (finance/shipping). I am a huge fan of Nakamura Kenji and I’ve fallen in love with fanzines for their ability to connect people across the globe.

Linnea (Art Mod)
(she/her)
Hi there! I am a published artist who has worked on several zines before. Mononoke is one of my favorite series and Nakamura Kenji’s works are all top tier in my book. I have an affection for unconventional, psychedelic animation and maximalist design. You can find my work across platforms @godweaver !

Heyo! I’m Fei, a mixed-media artist with a love of paper. I fell in love with Mononoke ever since I first saw the promotional art before it aired and it has lived rent free in my head ever since. I can’t wait to help bring this project to life!

Yes, they are! Writers may choose to collaborate with spot artists on their piece(s).
How many contributors are you planning on having?
We plan to accept between 30-35 contributors, across artists, merch artists, writers, and alternative content creators (e.g. cosplayers, chefs, etc.). The exact number and distribution of creators will depend on our interest check results and contributor applications.
Will there be pinch hitters / fill-in / backup creators?
Yes! Applicants can indicate in the application form if they would like to be a pinch hitter for the zine. Pinch hitters are creators who may be called in if there is a creator who drops out from the project during the creation period.
What is the creation process like?
Upon acceptance, contributors will have to pitch several ideas to the mod team. Ideas approved by the mod team will be the ones which contributors will create. There will be regular progress check-ins each month, to ensure that contributors are on track to complete their piece(s) by the end of the creation period.
